Maurizio Melis Roman was born in Santiago de Chile in 1957.
His artistic training was born and perfected under the guidance of his father Amerigo, also a painter. He moved to Italy in 1975, and continued his studies with the painter Renata Soro. Since then he has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions.
His art recovers the sign, above all archaic, in which the mixed technique with the ocher of the earth evokes primordial and distant worlds.
Lives and works in Genoa.
